This page sets out the rules we follow when we write about LR products, aloe vera and health. We publish it so you can judge for yourself how far to rely on what you read here.
Who writes our articles
Our articles are written by Angel Matsanov and Nikoleta Genova, independent LR Health & Beauty partners from Plovdiv, Bulgaria. You can read more about us on our About page. We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts, but we read, check and edit every text before it goes live, and we are responsible for everything we publish.
Our principles
1. Health claims: only what is authorised
Food supplements may only carry the health claims listed on the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register, using the authorised wording and only where the product contains the required amount of the nutrient. For readers elsewhere, the equivalent is the EU Register under Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 and Regulation (EU) No 432/2012.
We never say or suggest that a product treats, cures or prevents an illness. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, please speak to your GP or pharmacist before using a supplement.
2. Supplements are not medicines
Food supplements are not medicines and are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. We say so in our articles wherever it matters.
3. Cosmetics: honest and verifiable
Claims about skincare follow the UK Cosmetics Regulation (and, in the EU, Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009). When we quote the results of LR’s own tests, we label them as manufacturer data.
4. Sources we use
- the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register and the EU Register of nutrition and health claims;
- the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA);
- national health and nutrition authorities;
- product data from the official LR shop for Great Britain: name, ingredients, quantity, directions and price.
We list our sources at the end of our articles.
5. Prices and product facts are dated
We check product facts regularly and prices every month. Each product page shows the date of the last check. LR can change prices and promotions at any time, so the price shown in the LR shop at checkout is the one that applies.
6. No invented reviews, ratings or figures
We do not publish made-up customer reviews, star ratings, sales figures or statistics. If we have no real data for something, we leave it out.
7. Images
The title images on our articles are created with AI image tools. They do not show real people presented as customers. Product photos are LR product images on a white background; they belong to LR Health & Beauty and are used with LR’s permission for its partners.
Independence and money
Our company earns commission or bonus points from LR when someone buys or registers through our buttons. We are not paid for reviews by anyone else. LR does not commission, check or approve our texts. The full details are on How this site is funded.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, an outdated price or anything unclear, please let us know. We will check it, fix it and update the check date on the page.
Not medical advice
Our articles are general information. They are not medical advice and do not replace a consultation with a doctor or pharmacist. See also our page on quality seals and our terms of use.
