Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Under regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the guidance of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), we may only store or read information on your device without asking if it is strictly necessary for the service you request. For everything else we need your prior consent, which you give or refuse in our cookie banner.
We use very few cookies. There is no advertising, no retargeting and no social media tracking on this site.
The cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookieadmin_consent | Aloe Vera Shop (CookieAdmin) | Stores your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear on every page, and so that we can show what you agreed to | Strictly necessary | Up to 12 months |
| _ga | Google (Google Analytics 4) | Distinguishes browsers for usage statistics | Analytics (only with consent) | 2 years |
| _ga_[ID] | Google (Google Analytics 4) | Keeps the state of a visit for usage statistics | Analytics (only with consent) | 2 years |
| wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Aloe Vera Shop (WordPress) | Login and settings for site administrators | Strictly necessary (administrators only, never set for visitors) | Session or as set by WordPress |
The buttons to the LR shop do not set a cookie on our site. They take turns between our two partner codes on each click, and nothing about this is stored on your device.
Your choice, before anything is set
Analytics cookies are off until you switch them on. When you first visit, the banner lets you accept or reject analytics, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. Nothing is pre-selected for you. Until you agree, the Google Analytics code is not loaded, so your browser makes no connection to Google and no data goes to Google.
If you do agree, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which buttons to the LR shop are clicked. Google Signals is switched off and Analytics is not linked to any advertising product. Full details, including retention and transfers, are in our privacy policy.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent whenever you like. Use the cookie settings link or icon that appears on every page of the site, and the banner will open again with your current choice. Withdrawing consent takes effect from that moment; Analytics then stops loading. To remove cookies that were already set, delete them in your browser.
Cookies and your browser
You can also view and delete cookies in your browser settings, or block them altogether. If you block all cookies, the site will still work, but we will not be able to remember your choice and will ask you again. Your browser’s help pages explain how to do this.
After you leave our site
When you click through to the official LR shop, the LR company that runs it sets its own cookies under its own rules. You will find these in the cookie and privacy information in the LR shop.
